One of the most popular parks in Downtown Austin is Zilker Metropolitan Park. This 351-acre park includes train rides, trails for jogging and cycling, a children’s playground and a swimming pool. The Zilker Botanical Garden, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Nature and Science Center and the Hillside theatre are all sited within Zilker Park. Waterloo Park in the Red River District is a more peaceful, quieter option with plenty of green open spaces and jogging paths.
