Is the Pflugerville to Dowtown commute manageable?

Question:

Is the Pflugerville to Dowtown commute manageable?

I just took a job in downtown Austin, but want to live up north in either Pflugerville or georgetown so that I can have a bigger house with a nice lawn. Is this doable or am I going to spend my entire life sitting in traffic?

Yes, it is very doable, but a lot depends on when you will be commuting. From Pflugerville you will most likely be taking I35 South into town. If you are on the road between 7AM and 8:30 AM, it might take 30/40 minutes. If after that time, you will sail into town in about 15/20 minutes. Same with your return...if between 3-6pm, same amount of time.
